Title VIII Nursing Workforce Reauthorization Passes the House!
On October 28, the Nursing Community Coalition released a statement applauding the U.S. House of Representatives for passing the Title VIII Nursing Workforce Development Act of 2019 (H.R. 728). This bipartisan legislation would help to ensure a robust and diverse nursing pipeline, especially in rural and underserved areas, by reauthorizing the Title VIII Nursing Workforce Development Programs.
On October 31, S. 1399, the Title VIII Nursing Workforce Reauthorization Act, advanced out of the Senate Health, Education, Labor, and Pensions Committee by a unanimous voice vote. Read the NCC statement highlighting this momentous occasion. The NCC looks forward to working with our partners in the Senate to advance and pass Title VIII Nursing Workforce Reauthorization this year.
